I'm a lecturer and PhD student in Linguistics and Applied Language Studies at Rhodes University. My interests are in Systemic Functional Linguistics, media discourse, political discourse, linguistic ethnography and sign language linguistics. At LCTC2 I'll be presenting on my PhD work on political discourses in the Daily Sun, South Africa's largest daily newspaper.
